1. What’ the aluminium strip?

Aluminium strip is processed from aluminium alloy as the main raw material for household and industrial products. Aluminium alloy has low density but high strength. Close to or higher than high quality steel. Good plasticity, can be processed into various profiles. Has excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Widely used in industry, its use is second only to steel.

The raw material of aluminium strip is pure aluminium or aluminium alloy cast rolled aluminium coil, hot rolled aluminium coil, rolled by the cold rolling mill for different thickness, width of the sheet aluminium coil, and then according to the use, longitudinal shear machine longitudinal slitting for different widths of aluminium strip.

2. Classification of the use of aluminium strips

Alloy grades of commonly used aluminium strips are 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003, 3004, 5005, 5052, 8011, etc.

1050 aluminium strip belongs to the pure aluminium coil series.1050 aluminium contains 99.50% aluminium, has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, but low strength, no need for heat treatment to strengthen, poor cutting and machining, and can be subject to contact welding and gas welding. Since it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and cheap, it is the most commonly used series, and is now more widely used in traditional industries.

1060 aluminium strip has a flat surface, high cleanliness and high formability, which is suitable for polymer welding.1060 aluminium strip products own elongation, tensile strength, fully able to meet the requirements of conventional processing, such as punching, drawing.1060 aluminium strip is now widely used in soft battery connectors, aluminium-plastic panels, lamps and lanterns, signage and other fields.

1100 Aluminium strip is the commercially purest alloy of all aluminium grades. Compared to other aluminium alloys, it has an aluminium content of 99% and can be even higher.1100 aluminium coil is most commonly formed by cold working. Although, pure aluminium can also be hot worked, most aluminium strip is formed by cutting and does not require the use of high temperatures at all.1100 Aluminium Coil can be made to international standards and quality is guaranteed.

3003 aluminium strip is an AL-Mn alloy, which is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum. In order to improve the mechanical properties of 3003 aluminium strip, cold working process is usually used instead of heat treatment. The 3003 aluminium strip has high plasticity in the annealed state, good plasticity when semi-cold work hardening, low plasticity when cold work hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability.

5052 aluminium strip belongs to the Al-Mg series alloy, which is widely used and is the most promising aluminum alloy with good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, good cold workability and moderate strength. 5052 alloy aluminum coil has high strength, high plasticity and corrosion resistance, good weldability, but poor cutting performance and can be polished.

5754 aluminium strip belongs to AL-MG anti-rust aluminum, which has the characteristics of moderate strength, good corrosion resistance, good weldability and easy processing and forming. It is a typical alloy among aluminum-magnesium alloys. 5754 aluminium strip under different heat treatment conditions, suitable for the main material of automobile manufacturing (doors, moulds, seals) and canning industry production.

5083 aluminium strip is the most promising alloy, and its excellent corrosion resistance makes 5083 aluminum coil widely used in marine applications such as ships, as well as automobiles, aircraft weldments, subway light rail, etc., and pressure vessels that require strict fire protection (such as liquid tank cars , refrigerated trucks, refrigerated containers), refrigeration equipment, TV towers, drilling equipment, aluminum materials for transportation, etc.

3.Application of Aluminium Strip
