Classification of aluminium tubes by extrusion method:

seamless aluminium tubes and ordinary extruded aluminium tubes.

Aluminium extruded pipe is produced by heating a metal billet to a plastic state and then forcing it through a die to form the desired shape. The resulting pipe has a uniform cross-section and can be produced in very long lengths, making it ideal for use in structural applications such as structures where a uniform cross-section is required or where pipe length is a critical factor, aluminium extruded pipe is an excellent choice. Aluminium seamless tubes are made by hot rolling, cold drawing and forging, then they are cut to length and treated to remove any surface defects, the resulting tubes have a uniform grain structure making them stronger and more resistant to fatigue than extruded tubes. Aluminium seamless tubes are typically used in high pressure applications such as the oil and gas industry where strength and durability are required.
